Nana visits/5 Year Anniversary Vegas Style (...stay away from the squid cerviche...)

Nana and Aunt Hannah came to watch Ellie so Mike and I could celebrate our 5-year anniversary a bit early...Vegas style. We had a great time, despite the flu bugs we both caught (or was is the squid cerviche...we will never know...and likely never be that risky again), and loved seeing O, hanging out at the swanky European pool, and lounging in our gorgeous Wynn suite. Thanks Mom and Dad for a wonderful trip!

A bit guido...but we'll take it.

Guate and back again

We went home the last weekend in May to welcome home Matt - our favorite Guatemalan-missionary.

Yes, I did screen print t-shirts with Matt's giant head on it. Nothing says 'welcome home' like your silhouette on a neon yellow shirt....

There were lots of souvenirs to go around -- knives, bowls, nativities...all the staples. :-)

Playing some Just Dance. Work it.

Shaun the sheep break.

Took a walk down to the county club to throw rocks in. It wasn't great weather -- but it was nice enough to be outside here and there....

Ribs! This girls is really shy around meat...she obviously isn't ANYTHING like her dad....

Piano-time with second cousin Mylee. Those two had a great time together.

And a cuddle with Nana Niece.

summer days

A pic of our baby-baby girl....

Ellie napping -- Mike snagged a few cute pics of her snuggling with her blankets and lambie...

One of our favorite games -- Ellie loves to "surprise" me by knocking on the glass from the inside of the house while I am sitting outside....she cracks up every time.

We spent Memorial Day at a nearby pool with some cousins and friends - it was perfect - water and sun followed by a BBQ in the park.

Somebody playing dress up with diaper bag...those glasses ---- HOT.

we got to spend a few playdates with Maggie while her parents were packing away - we will miss them in Vegas!

We ended up dispensing with clothes as the temperature climbed...

Somebody was getting ready for her nap...
